This easy walking tour is perfect for anyone who is elderly, or a person who battles with walking long distances. Although cobbled streets and sandy terrain can’t be avoided in Israel, this tour is designed to offer the easy-walking routes and short cuts! This tour visits the essential sites in Israel, and allows for longer rest times in the hotel in the afternoons. Electric wheelchairs will work on this tour; if you use a normal wheelchair you will have to bring a friend to push you and it will be difficult on the cobbled streets. Taxis can be arranged on the day (cost to client) should walking in the Old City be too tiresome.

Tour Description

This Israel tour departs from Johannesburg (as a group) but if you wish to fly direct on your own from Cape Town or Durban you can do so. On this tour we will take you all the main Bible sites including: the Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, Jordan River Baptism and Jerusalem. Because this tour is geared for easy walking, you will not visit the Dead Sea, Masada or the via Dolorosa (as these are all difficult walking terrains). However, all essential Biblical sites that you visit are detailed in the itinerary. You will stay in Jerusalem and do day trips to the relevant sites. The pace will be slower and more relaxed than a normal tour.
